Sufi Path
" Look to the Source, if permanence you claim; Go to the Root, if
constancy's your aim ..The gardens may flow with beauty But let us
go to the Gardener Himself Rumi
|
|
|

Jalalu' ddin Rumi
is the spiritual
leader of Sufism. Rumi is a mystical poet and the founder of Mevlevi
(Mawlawiyya) Order of Dervishes. Since Rumi brought music to the
Sufi Order, the term 'Sema' was born. Sema is the Whirling
Dervish Ceremony, a sacred dance that is comprised of both bodily
movements and music.
|
|

Sema is peace for the
souls of the living; The one who knows this, possesses peace in his
heart. The one who wants to be awakened. Is the one who sleeps in
the middle of the garden. But for the one who sleeps in prison, To
be awakened is only a nuisance
Through the whirling dance, the aim of the Dervish is to open the
eyes of his heart and see infinity in eternity. He loosens his binds
to the earth to enter the realm of no boundaries for inner peace and
growth. The dervish frees himself from worldly cares and anxieties
to become one with GOD
